The company FFDM was established in1946 with the object of manufacturing dental burrs, which were not manufactured in France at that time.
The production of dental instruments was added to this activity.
It was in 1962 that the tungsten carbide Cutting Tools Department was created. By this time the tools produced were made on innovative materials used in the automotive industry and new materials used in the aeronautics industry called today : “composites”.
Since that date, the experience has been implemented in other areas of industry, defense, precision mechanics, PLV with new development tool geometry.
In 1971, acquisition of the company PNEUMAT, manufacture of Pneumatic Tools (grinders, drilling machines, power drivers, etc.) and creation of F.F.D.M. Pneumat.
In 1996, ISO 9002 Initial Certification by the AFAQ and EC marking by the G-Med.
In 1999, the Company, located until then in Bourges on two sites: FFDM, at 26 rue du Pré-Doulet and Pneumat, at 46 avenue de la Prospective, came together on a single site located at 78/80 Avenue de la Propective in Bourges, increasing the size of its site from 10,000 m² to 20,000 m² including 6,500 m² under cover.
In 2002, introduction of the ISO 9000 reference work (2000 edition) and registration in this reference work.
In 2004, introduction of the ISO 13485 reference work (2004 edition) for the dental activities and registration in this reference work.
In 2010, introduction of the repository Canadian CMDCAS.
In 2016, FFDM PNEUMAT joins the TIVOLY Group based in Tours-en-Savoie
In 2019, FFDM PNEUMAT becomes FFDM TIVOLY.

In the Dental Department : burrs, counter angle and manual canal instruments; special drills for implantology and a universal root post extraction kit. These products are subject to European Directive 93/42 : EC marking of medical devices and regulation on medical devices DORS 98-282 for distribution in Canada.
In the Cutting Tools Department : end-mills, reamers, drills, reamer drills, drill reamer countersinks, burrs, all in monobloc carbide, microstop drill cages and riveting gauge.
In the Pneumatic Department : portable pneumatic tools such as screw drivers, straight grinders, drilling machines, Automatic Drilling Units for, in particular, the assembly industries (automobile industry, aeronautics industry, electrical engineering industry, etc.). A driver range is also available in electric and battery version.
To date, FFDM PNEUMAT realizes more than 55% of its turnover for export.
